Rats have been chewing through the 45 mil EPDM pond liner. In a 3 years period, two liners were lost. Multiple holes in multiple areas below the water level which makes it very difficult to patch.
For this go around we are installing a 1600g molded pond. The molded pond is almost the same out line as the existing pond which makes it easy. However, the molded pond is four feet deep requiring about 18"-24" to be dug out.
I will post more photos as we go. Pond was delivered today. This is not my pond. The owner keep koi only.
