how big dose a full size lion get? Because thats the one im thinking about geting.

A Volitan? prob 14-15 inches i think, largest one i saw was at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago.
Mine is prob 8-9 " ,had it over 6+ yrs...

BTW: the over the eye "horns will go away as the fish matures,,,

One thing with any lion, avoid ANY live feeders ie: minnows, feeder goldfish etc. WAY too fatty for the fish, will cause liver problems later.
If you get a lion, and it does not want to eat, you can tempt it with feeders, just for a lil bit. then switch to non-live food, anything frozen, silversides, cut up fish.
don't overfeed, and you will do better.
Let it's hunger get interested in what you are offering, and soon it will check out anything you put in there.

Just keep in mind no meds, or they will be tits up in no time!

JUST DONT THROW THEM INTO THE OCEAN WHEN THEY OUTGROW YOUR TANK! I SEE THEM EVERY KNOW AND THEN WHEN DIVING AND I KNOW THAT THEY ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE ON A REEF IN FLORIDA!

I had a fuzzy dwarf for about 2 years until he jumped out the back of the tank. I had no problems, and feed it feeder shrimp and frozen foods. Dwarves love to hide, so watch your hands when you are in the tank!

I think they are cool! Make sure you don’t just feed them live food. I like to target feed them with a variety of food. Also makes it easier to give meds if you have to. Just remember that they are venomous, so watch your hands!

Lionfish are great! I am thinking of a fumanchu myself, very cool, all your friends will love it!!! jk
