yup, and transplanting them somewhere else (say their native region) will be a waste of money for Florida Fish and Wildlife.why so they can invade that area and reproduce MORE?? cmon use some common sense
So are walleyes, bullheads and crappies. I hate being stabbed by spiny fishes.I just wouldn't want to do the one filleting. I have been stung once it isn't fun. Hurts like a...something that hurts alot lol.
I think there is a video clip of a nurse shark actually prey on lionfish that wasn't speared which is a good sign.Also there are predators that can eat them. Problem is the grouper,reef sharks and eels haven't learned that they are edible since they are foreign to they. I saw were in south Florida and Bahamas they are spearing them and feeding to the predators hoping that overtime they will learn to prey on them and pass it on
