yea its the Deepwater Lionfish(common named) WOW im really glad i could have cleared things up, i thought i was going to be scolded for thinking it wasnt a zebra... yes they are DEF much rarer then most other lionfish, seeing i have seen Russels, VOlitans, Radiata, Fu manchu, and Spotfin(antennata) Lionfishes, but no MOmbasse... NIce deal finding that fish and get some updated photos, ikno i would appreciate them...others too! chk out this awesome lionfish! i found it online Reefkeeping.com

Thats a nice looking lion as well. What species is it? Incase you were wondering I only paid $60 for my mombasse. The guy sold it to me rather cheap because he wanted it to go to a big tank. He said that if I hadn't have taken it he wouldn't have sold it he like him so much. The only reason he sold it was because he was changing his tank over from an aggressive tank to a Tang only tank.
 
I know this is off the topic but.... How the hell do you guys clean your tank with a flippin poisnous lionfish swimming around.

I would love to have one but they are venomous. Death aint fun :grinno: !

Actually I just keep an eye on him and make sure he doesn't get too close :popcorn:

I'm not too worried about it. They don't charge at you and try and stab you. You would have to thrust your hand towards the spines to get stuck by them.

I feed my lionfish shrimp right from my finger tips. He hand feeds very well.
