Idk man I never really feed freeze dried. Mine does go through spurts where it doesn't eat much. What is yours kept with ?
She just pigged out

south american community with several acaras, geos, severums, tetras, corys, a raphael, a pictus, a chalceus....a few rainbowfish. pretty well stocked for a 95 i know.

Lol at what point are you going to feel the tankmates are too big ? I'm not there yet but I need to see something out of these jags
Biggest tankmates is Trachy at 11" measured last night when she was up against the glass. Wolf was 15". She surely doesn't mind lol.
i think ive got a little bit out of mine. he appears to be about 5" now up from about 4" when i got him. he got really fat for awhile and was patrolling nearly every night. now hes skinny again. think all these stupid breeding cichlids combined with the bigger raphael have got him running scared. i snapped a couple bad pics after wresting him from his hiding place today. he started feeding immediately though.

I'll have to disagree. Mine goes through periods of fasting where it'll get thin as well and be less active. No one messes with her and nothing changes in the tank. But your idea is surely possible. I just wouldn't say it's so unless I witness it, could just be regular jag activity.
mine does the same thing. Not sure if you saw the picture where mine tried to fit in a crack in the dw after eating and couldn't.

I feed freeze dried butnjag never took interest from what I saw. Characins ate it

My jag will definitely try to nudge her way to pellets, but she's smaller than everyone lol

yeah pretty much everyone is a voracious eater. even the rainbows have started to take decent sized pellets. i may try to put the jag in with my jd. he always has spare food lying around cause hes a snob.

So they are definitely fighting. One of them swam about 6 inches holding the other by the belly upside down and shaking it side to side.

I promise last vid but I thought it was cool that the other jag was getting in on the action.

These cats haven't stopped. Like day 5 that they are cruising the tank. The one that was always a bit shy will stop and hide every now and then. The vulture is enjoying the company and kind of swimming laps with them.

Both are eating so I don't think they are stressed.
