Each Oscar needs no less than 55 gallons to properly dilute the huge amount of waste they produce and to give the fish sufficient room for territory and swimming.
Your plan to get them into a 150 is a good idea, but not a guarantee that they will get along. Some fish just don't like each other and will continue to fight until one of them is dead. And at 4 inches, your Oscars are still babies. Wait until they hit the 8 to 10 inch mark and sexual maturity sets in. Adolescent Oscars have been known to go from peaceful to psychotic in a very short time span.

i had the same thing happen but i decided to put the littler one in the tank again and the bigger one,along with all the other fish in the tank ,decided to beat the sh*t out of him.hes recouping now and when hes recovered,im going to trade him in to the local pet store
