Nope, don't think so bro, I've got 4 Hoplarchus psittacus...and possible three pikes that are rarer than cobras.... SO BOO YA! And my psittacus are pushin 5" easily... they have the red eyes and are gettin more turquiose every day!

hope you have those Psitticus in different tanks. And my LFS got some of those Crenicichla sp. Manchada (spelling) and they aren't that pimpin. to each his own i guess.

wuddup new to the site love the stuff...u guys all seem alot more pro then i am
i have a 8 inch female reddevil...beautiful fish...not to aggresive...attacked me only a few times...and she hates the 12 inch pleco she lives with...doesnt let him leave his corner...so he doesnt do his job to well

Just cuz you only have one cichlid doesn't make you any less of a pro than us bro. It all depends on experience. If you've gotta lotta fish but have no idea on how to keep them or what not its kinda worthless. But if you've gotta a few fish but know the works...ur pimpin! Keep it up, you'll get more fish, specially once you start seein what else is out there!!

Their aggression levels towards each other are pretty mild, and about the same towards other cichlids. I'm trying to get a pair or two outa them, thats why I have them all together. Actually look pimp together, you should get more. Crenicichla manacuchada or whatever doesn't really rock my boat either, but'cha gotta member that pikes get better as they get older from the Lugubris family....if they aren't that expensive i would pick some up just for the heck of it...lol...

I can can more but was under the impression that they won't tolorate each other over the long haul. I'll probably just hold out and get another Urau once i figure out what i've got. i think its a male but to be honest i have no idea lol.

You know where to get more psittacus? Dude! I want some more! Never can have enough! From my experiences they tolerate each other pretty good...lol...just give them enough space. I have heard that too though. We shall see. I guess some peeps have better luck than others. Once i getta pair I'm not sure what i will do wit the other two...perhaps sell them. Probably be too attached to them though. Be NICE if i could get two pairs! LOL...awesome cichlids thru and thru.

WELL YOU'RE MOVING TO COLORADO RIGHT? WE CAN CHECK OUT MY LFS. I THINK YOU'LL BE HAPPY WITH THE SELECTION. HE JUST GOT TONS OF NEW PIKES AND HE DOES ALL HIS ORDERING FROM RAPPS. LAST TIME I CHECKED HE HAD ABOUT 4 PSITTACUS LEFT. I REALLY WASN'T IMPRESSED WITH THE CREN. MANCHADA OR WHAT EVER THE HECK IT IS LOL.
