Occasional feeder, but mostly tilipia.
He is alone in a 36" x 18" tank. Has decent current. You getting better growth than this?

I got mine around the first of May. Were really small as I remember thinking they could be snacks for pups. Maybe 3"? If that? Didn't take long at all to get them on Massivore. The current seemed to help a bunch, pellets just blow around in there. They really took off color and growth rate wise after the pellets. I'd bet it's the crazy current raising the metabolism coupled with pellets. Crazy current being a 3.6K gph Dart return pump, 2 1500 gph Korilias, and had a pair of almost 1000 gph pumps in there but had to rob them a few weeks ago. Was like 8500 gph on a 150 gallon tank. They're in a 4x3 150 gallon right now and on their way to a 6 or 8' tank here soon, as "Poo Bear" the Gatf seems to keep rubbing his snout off. Guessing they're 6-7" now, and seem to be growing faster then the Gatf they're in with, as he had them by a few inches when I got him, now the biggest T is within a half inch or so.
Changed my view on pellets a little bit, that's for sure..... lol
I got schooled on these things too. It definitely seems overkill but I bet if you put the current in the rest will fall into place.
My Tanzys broke way easier then any Payara, but didn't seem to happen till I gave in and added the stupid current then they just started taking pellets without even starving. Now they refuse other foods and only seem to eat the pellets. But I saw a night and day difference after pellets.
You have a Goliath too right? Is he in the same tank? Hows his growth?
