Thanks for the fast answers!

I'm glad that I'm feeding him the right stuff. He's so little that I was worried about him getting certain things into his mouth, but after lights out tonight I saw him going after the krill so at least I know he's eating.

I can't wait for mine to get bigger!

Enjoy this age too..it won't last long..take lots of pictures haha:D

I definitely try to stray away from all live foods with all of my fish (at this time I have 2 oscars and a common pleco...well, and the CK). They really don't do much nutrition wise, and my luck I'd get some nasty disease from the feeders in one of my tanks. Either that or I'd get a stubborn fish that decided to refuse all non-live foods.

They all get pellets, algae wafers, freeze dried goodies and the pleco gets a variety of fruits and vegetables (unfortunately the oscars refuse to eat anything like that), and they seem to all be doing great on that particular diet. The only live things I sometimes do is crickets, and that's only if my oscars have been super good...which is pretty much never :).

can a ck be fed pellets or it has to have live feeders as well? or do you have to start them like that when they are small. around 1-2 inch big?
