Little Humpy Is Acting Weird! Help!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yes, I am going to place something in there for him to hide in. I really hope he recovers. He is a good looking fh and its very sad to see him in this condition. Even as I am typing this, he is hiding behind the inbuilt filter.

I have stopped going near the tank and my hubby feeds him. I get disturbed looking at the fish like this.

ok mine did the sam exact thing..the day I got him he was fine and swimming around but 24 hours later he turned his stress bars on and would always hid behing the filter...I had a 14inch Pleco in there though...I thought it was the pleco but I took the pleco out and he got even worse he went black on me...for a whole week...I changed the background from natural to blue and about 9 hours later it was like a switch was fliped he just brought out his normal good color here are the pics....hopefully this helps...make his environment bright and dont make alot of foot traffic near the tank dont go in front of the tank alot..just let him be.....

Yeah, I did remove the background wallpaper. There seems to be some improvement after I did a 50%wc last night. At least he stopped hiding (although we have placed a hiding spot for him) and he has been moving around actively soon after it.

Its been more than 8 hours now and he has not eaten! He is a greedy little fella and I am worried why he has not eaten even a single pellet!

When am I going to be able to rest in peace???!! Now what, deworming????

I know people who keep their FHs in awful condition and those fishes thrive and mine is always being pampered and he comes up with some problem or another.

I need to get motivated! LOL!!

perhaps its just a human problem rather than a fish one. fish have a say in what they wanna do too. at times we forget that they are not machines, if it eats within a week even. that will suffice as normal. perhaps it is this pampering you speak of. dont be too quick to over-observe a fish's every move. let the hard evidence fall and take ur :chillpill: and call ur psychiatrist in the morning. your stress levels might simply be passing on to the fish ;) jk.

btw the image looks to be photoshoped. or glazed with some type of artificial layer.

Does the bump thing kinda looks like a pimple? Might be the start of HITH/Hex. Had a few of my FH have that lil pimple thing and in a matter of week it becomes a hole and start eroding flesh.

So watch for it! Let's hope it doesn't turn to HITH/hex
