Oh, and I do have another ornate, she is nearing the 16ish mark (difficult to measure as she runs and hides in a tube all day). Once the smaller ornate is of adequate size I will drop it in with big girl and see where it goes. I will definitely say that the ornate are a little more on the skittish side, so offering them a cave or length of pvc may be ideal for a healthy ornate. Senegal will swim around all day, and my lap and endli seem to be comfortable hiding in plants and driftwood, somewhat in the open. I may be alone in my observations though. Ornate really do become impressive fish though. I love my fire eel it comes out and swims and generally loves to interact with me, but whenever I get a quick view of my big ornate, it is just amazing. Great fish.
