Have you guys ever seen a turtle this small! My parents found him in their driveway last November. The nearest water is about a 1/2 mile away. I think a crow or something tried to eat him and then gave up. He's actually grown since I've had him too. I'm either going to let him go when it warms up or build him a little pond in with my Box Turtles. I've had adult Stinkpots Musk Turtles in my gamefish pond before. They have pretty nasty attitudes and always ended up escaping! Enjoy the pics, they might be a little blurry.

So cute, they are native here, ive wanted one for a long time but i cant find them in stores and don't want to take it out of the wild so i'm stuck.

Looks super cute!!

Around here they are one of the most common turtles besides snappers. I used to wade in a pond near my house and wait for them to come up for air and then scoop them up in a net. It worked with catching Painted Turtles too.

Yup. I found a red eared slider in the GUTTER of a road last year in Fremont WI. The river is 200 feet and downhill. No way that little guy WALKED up there! He was the size of a quarter. Couldn't believe it. My dad got out and almost stepped on him.

Always wondered how he got up there. Brought him home, fattened himup and released him.

yeah i had 6 of these when my old pair laid eggs..

Thats cool man they are all over this area you are right i live outside mechanicsburg. These guys will climb trees and go really far away from water. They are real common in the conidogunit creek and the river. catch these all the time in the summer. great find good luck with him.

so cute!!!
