Planaria. How often do you feed and what about your tank maintenance?

Are they a parasite, because if they were, I Imagen your fish would consume them?

really? what do they do?? they look ugly lol

They live in your substrate and feed off any uneaten food. They usually come out when your tank has more uneaten food than usual. Interesting fact about planaria, if you were to cut one inhalf it will not die. The part you cut will regenerate any missing tissue and become two!

I think I like them now :D do you keep them in your tanks??

here's what I ended up with, they're harmless and pretty useful... only downside is that the tank would look like it's got eczema

I work at a pet store in the fish department, and we have creatures that look very much like this all over our goldfish wall. Our department manager has been on a warpath trying to destroy them, and has been medicating the entire wall. He seems to be under the impression that we have a swarm of baby anchor worms...
We've also had customers come back with bags of water with them in it demanding refunds, etc. As I have no personal experience with anything like them, I've been referring them to our manager. They are extremely small, maybe 1-2mm max.

Unfortunately I do not have pictures, but any thoughts or opinions on this would be greatly appreciated!
