I've got exactly the same product in my aquarium at the minute, although I will say it's not called pure pond thingy whatever, it's just what you get when you cycle a tank without spending a fortune. Nothing impressive about that product at all, though I bet through the marketing strategy it's a huge hit.
 
Good product for a noob who is setting up just one tank or pond for the first time I would guess. But seems a little needless for experienced keepers who usually keep extra cycled media on hand.

And no bacterial additives reduce the need for regular maintenance. I wish these companies would stop saying that. It makes people think they can get lazy about cleaning a tank. Can't tell you how many times I've heard some one say "well i dont have to clean it or change the water! I just dump this stuff in!"
