Piranhas or any other fish armed with similar teeth tearing apart a larger prey is not natural?

No, not really. As I understand, only under extreme circumstances (like a whole school being trapped in a small body of water with limited food as the river levels drop during the dry season) do piranha start to take on prey much larger than they are. Even if it is "natural" it certainly isn't necessary in aquaria.

That would be one occasion, other is when the larger animal is obviously in distress, and they are not really nice about how they dispose of these nature's leftovers. Other type of fish such as tiger fish of Africa have attacked prey as large as men.

As I said, I don't advocate feeding things like goldfish to aquarium fish, it will lead to health issues; but having a piranha chomping on a food item be criminalized is stupidity.
