Did a little research because wondered why the cyclops didn't die. Copepods can create a gel to survive in bad water.

Decided today to gut load 1day old brine shrimp with organic spirulina powder. I'm not feeding after a day.
I have 2 brine shrimp hatcheries rotate every day. Very fast and simple no aeration and no shells.

My culture of copepods were under quarantine and finally starting to increase in numbers and under close observation with my 20x magnifying lens haven't seen any more flat worms or harmful critters.
My next step very soon will be setting up a breeding box on the pipefish aquarium with a few copepods in it.

Well siphoned a couple of cyclops from the culture today and released them into the pipefish aquarium.
I will add them every week until I notice a decent population.

Ok noticed today in the copepod culture container there are fan worms. They are not Hydra don't have tentacles. Reminds me of saltwater Feather Dusters which are actually tube worms. They are only visible when looked through 20x magnifying glass.
