:0 and that just enlarged my budget! Thank you guys! but hm.... But i still ahve the problem with the canister filter.... and air pump. wont it kick up the sand?
What size tank is this btwMy Crinum natans and Vallisneria spiralis are being grown in playsand and they are growing very well. I've had to trim the Val several times now because the leaves grew so long they bent across the surface of the water. I started the Val with a single plant of just 5 leaves 2 months ago. Sand is far superior to pure gravel in every way.

As Stated, Pool Filter Sand Is Heavier than most sands and will NOT get sucked up! I have PFS in MANY of my tanks and have had no problems... Neither canister, HangOns, Or, Sumps have EVER caused any problems for me! If you are having trouble finding the sand, All Pool Supplies Stores Sell It! I know for a FACT that all Leslies Pool Supplies Sell Them! Thats Where I got mine from. It was $4.50 For a 50 lb Bag! That is just an Unbeatable Price! Lastly, If you don't see the sand in the store, ask the person at the register cause, Alot of stores keep it in the back So that nobody busts the bags! Hope I Helped!![]()
