Live Plants? What Cichlids?

What cichlids do okay in large tanks with live plants? If there are some, what kinds of plants work best?

I can't stop my Anacharis from growing in all my tanks.

i have only managed to keep plants with angels and discus long back
but now i have very few plants in a 40g with jewels , but haven't been successful with sa/ca chiclids though

Most, if not all dwarf cichlids will prefer live plants. Even mid sized cichlids such as convicts, severums (Mid sized?) and firemouths will tolerate live plants.

I've kept really aggressive cichlids with large lily pads. The pads had 5 foot roots, 1" thick stems and 14"+ leaves. These lily's were gigantic. The cichlids tried to destroy them, but couldn't.
