So I was wondering which lizard you would get for your selfs or if older :D your kids.

I have a 13 year old brother who wants a lizard, but I don`t know whats the best type of lizard that wont eat all his fingers at once.

So can any of you guys make some recommendations?

Bearded dragons are not an option since I`m getting that for myself

I would say Leopard Gecko or Blue Tongue Skink.

fence lizards or leopard geckos get my vote, blue tongue skinks, water dragons and bearded dragons need too much space for a beginnner lizard and i've heard bts have a nasty bite. fence lizards can be a bit skittish at first but are excellent pets once they calm down and you can easily keep a trio in a 20g tall(only one male though) and under the right conditions they will even breed in there, although they do need UVB lights.

My first lizard at age 10 was a leopard gecko. They are very easy to care for. They also come in a huge variety of color and size morphs. They can be kept in a 20 long for life and are insectivorous.
