Not at all....it is sad as is any loss of a pet. The linked together collars is just sad to see and makes me feel for your losses. The petsmart corporate tombstones for your front yard is a bit funny. I would like to see pics of 1 in someones yard. Unless they are for the cemetery for pets. He meant 0 harm by posting this, and is not laughing about dying pets. Just the cheesy tombstones. I may be wrong but I thought it was a bit funny.

yeah i wouldnt buy one of those but im shure many do. whatever floats your boat i guess. the funny part is someones making money of that crap.

wurm ur still good in my book.:)

I don't see the humor in it really. I would buy a real one for my dogs or cat if they ever passed. I am super attached to my pets and I share a deep bond with them. Especially my little kitty. Right now my cat is sick ( sniffles and sneezing) and i do all I can to make him feel comfortable. I put out his favorite blanket that he likes to suck on and claw at and put a heating pad underneath it so he is nice and warm and I give him some warm wet food and when he starts itching at his nose I wipe his little nose off because it gets all wet. I love my cat and I don't care what people say I take the best care of him as I can. This is the first time ever in his life he has gotten sick and he's 5 years old. My other cat got him sick. I understand people think everything is over board but whatever I and everyone does what they feel is right and what should be done.

Thats not what he's laughing at.

Perhaps you could explain since most of us don't get it?

Good job at striking a nerve, wurm. Your skills are amazing. For the record, I think it's silly. I also think most burial practices are silly, too, and hold nothing but cultural value (which are priceless). Sure, when I was a kid, I made headstones out of written on, and later, carved wood for some of my pets. Now, I prefer burial of animals under trees, that's just my silly ritual. I have three large dogs (and yes, I love them with all of my heart), and that's what I plan to do with them maybe some picked flowers and rosemary (their favorite plant to pee on), but hey, to each his own...

Yes death is sad; that's not the funny part. It's about people that drop a few hundred smackers on an engraved headstone for a dog. In my opinion, that's ridiculous. If you really want to honor your dog by dropping a load of cash, make a donation to help animals in need.

By the way, after I die, I want my wife to keep my skull, and be either cremated and dropped into the Guadalupe River, or buried at see after a heavy chumming to make sure the sharks get me. Just please don't buy me a puppy headstone...

Lighten up.

It's all in personal preference. Most people in society think anything over 2.00 spent for a live fish is stupid not to mention what some of us spend. Not to start a whole new topic but some may say you have no spirit, no afterlife, no nothing and so it's a waste for someone to go through the expense of you to be cremated and dropped in a river vs. the nearest parking lot.

It's all in what you believe and how you want to spend your money and what puts your loved ones or you if you've lost a animal/person at rest. Death is a part of life and every culture deals with it differently but to most it's no laughing matter whether you think someones rituals are stupid or not.

The parking lot wouldn't bother me, but the Wal-Mart shoppers might be offended. I just want my carbon back in the loop.

BTW, by silly I don't mean ha ha funny, I mean when it all comes down to it, the more I think about it, it just doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Except for the fact that people like rituals.

LOL, didn't mean to offend anybody, I think it's funny. Your pet will not enjoy being dead anymore with a $300 headstone. Just my humble opinion. If you feel better, I guess it's worth it. Not me.

Yay, sayeth the Lord, Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust. Thou shalt return from whence thou came.

usually upper respiratory is no big deal. It's viral but antibiiotics help prevent secondary infection, also lysine supplementation may shorten the course of disease and prevent recurrence (feline upper respiratory is often caused by a form of herpes virus)
with regards to grief for a pet, people are devasted at the loss and it's hard to find people who will allow them to grieve openly without being embarrassed.
Only time I can see a grown man cry and not want to ***** slap him
To me, the body is a shell, so when they are gone, they are gone.
I can really only say to someone in the office well I believe they go on, but I'm also well aware it's not my place to push my belief system on someone.
Sometime it seems the pet stays as long as it can, for a sick owner, Some of the times pets have come in to be put to sleep have been so providential (strange choice of words but death is part of life) that I have to believe there is a reason
LOL animals more than any religeous/spiritual group teaching or text have taught me about faith
UGH well everytime I read rainbow bridge
it's a tear jerker I've got two old decrepit kitties in the swarm and they have been companions for almost all my adult life, more than any human being so that will totally be very very hard

perhaps the joke is that this store sells reptiles and headstones to go with them???

Anyway PM me with sick kitty questions although they have to be seen if realy ill, I made chicken soup for one of mine when he had a cold....
He got better and went on to snack on many expensive fish

Exactly, it's a bit ironic that they sell the pets, and the after death accessories!?!
