Any of my fish that won't eat pellets after a couple weeks get "the talk". I pull a chair up to the aquarium and sit down. I then give my lecture on proper diet and eating habits. "You don't want to have a hole in your forehead when you grow up do you?"

 LOL Yeah I already tried that talk and he does the same thing, I drop the pellet he runs for it , puts it in his mouth and then spits it out and looks at me like "you scum bag"

most LMB i kept took it with no problem. try takeing live feeders and throwing them in the air (maybe 2ft aboc the water) so they smack when they hit the water they will hit it as soon as is it hits the water (becarefull they will start to jump at it before it hits the water after a while) after a few times then switch it to frozen shrimp or fish filet they should start takeing it, and probably spitting it out at first but they will adventually take it then switch it too a good brand of pellets like hikari cichlid gold, same routine will happen, then try cheaper pellets, i only got 1 of my LMB to take trout chow and not spit it back out, but the rest will take cichlid gold and realize it as food even when its just floating around.

mine loves crayfish so once a week i throw three crays in and hes been staying healthy, i had him for 2 years now and cant get him on anything but live
