south florida
i know this question has been asked before on this site, but I havent seen one concerning Florida strain lmb.
SO can I keep a pbass with a lmb? pbass and largemouth live together pretty well here in south florida in the local fishing holes.

Just to let you know I live here in Kentucky. And during the middle of last summer I was catching tons of Bass in our pond. The water was warm almost like bath water. Checked the water temp and it was 83 degrees. So if these bass here in Kentucky can handle 83 degrees then I know they can in Florida. And if they can in Kentucky and in Florida then Im sure they can handle the same temps as pbass in tanks.. I wouldnt go too high.. Maybe 82-84 degrees...

Just my opinion though. Im sure some others will chime in...

I think the temp wouldn't be an issue with a FL strain LMB, only aggression. Largemouth are territorial, mine won't tolerate newcomers. If you got juvies of each species, I think you would have better luck.

I say yes.

If you decide to try it make sure you get pics

of course, but first i need a large enough tank, a lmb and a camera, but that shouldnt take too long......:nilly:

plausible - i know they've been imported to japan for stocking for sport fishing... I know, not singapore, but heck of a lot closer to ya than California, much less Florida
