I am not really all that interested in breeding them. I don't think it is feasible to do commercially, so it doesn't matter all that much, except to get your name in a fish keeping journal. That might get you some respect amongst the fishkeeping community, but I don't think it will benefit the hobby in any way.

It's a healthy addiction, as long as you don't end up living under a bridge with a tank full of loaches.

Wow! I've got 16 of them, the 3 biggest are just under 6". I've got 5 of them in with my young Oscar in a 125 gal and the others in a 150 gal with a Severum. I feel bad now for not just putting the 5 in with the other 11. They're such awesome cleaner uppers though.
Can I ask what size tank you've got them in? Most the Loach people get bent out of shape if they're in smaller than a 125 gal tank (for only 6!) because they keep saying they "get 18" long". But it takes them 20 or 30 *yrs to get that big.
It looks like Hurricane Loach in your pictures.
