Loach Tank Pictures

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Quick video of the clowns (9) in their grow out.

Earlier today the oddball and the largest clown appeared to be fighting/displaying with each other in what I can only assume is their attempt to establish a pecking order.

Very nice tank.

Matteus Matteus I like the one with the black dot on it's side.

I've been trying to tell mine apart and end up having to find minor differences in their stripes to identify them.

Thanks for sharing your tanks.

Ya. I like the odd ball ones as well. I saw few really unique ones at a decent size at an lfs last year. Waited a day too long to grab them and they were gone. Been kicking myself ever since.

I have been meaning to start my own thread similar to this. Thank you for getting the ball rolling on it. Love to see some more of your loach pics as well.

I'm the same way. I have 7 clowns and I can tell them all apart except for two that are very similar. When I first got them a year ago, I could tell them apart but now they are too similar.

How long have you had these loaches? I've got a 120 that I really want to showcase my loaches in (some other easy-going cichlids in there with them but they aren't nearly as neat as the CLs) but it seems like they are all getting fatter but not rounder. They all appear healthy and I know that they are a slow growing fish but man it'd be nice to grow some out! I am glad that they are slow growing so they don't outgrow my 120 too quickly.

I have a 3 tier rack for my loaches, hillstream and panda and panda garras with a smaller 20gal for more hillstream loaches and glowlight danios
The milk bottle cycling filter has since been removed.

The rack set up which has variable flow rate from 3000~6000L/h (792gal~1585gal/h). Top tank drains into second and second into bottom tank that runs into a 55gal sump then recirculated.
