I have a 150 gallon community tank (gourami, tetra, barbs, guppies, loaches)

I was looking to add more loaches into the tank, for me they are my favorite to observe.

Right now I am staying away from Clown Loaches until the weather gets warmer. The LFS told me that a lot of the time with colder weather they come in with ich and it was better to wait till it is warmer.

Right now I have two YoYo loaches, a tiger loach, and what she called a red loach.

What are some more good loaches to add to the tank?

I was looking at maybe adding a group of 5-6 skunk loaches but I read they are pretty aggressive?

Skunks can be aggresive and do best with other feisty species like modesta, lecontei etc

A nice Botia species to have that can get to around 6" and are pretty active all of the time are Botia histrionica

I will keep an eye out for them, thanks I appreciate it.

I forgot to include them, I have three cory cats in the tank. Thanks for the suggestion though!

I agree with you 100% on the statement,"Loaches are for life" It's kinda like getting a parrot in my opinion. First of all we bought our first round of clowns for snails, and as we did more research found out we had something we could enjoy for yrs to come. I truley enjoy watching all my loaches play..very entertaining :)

I now have 3 Histrionica's, one Mongoose, and 3 Striata. I also have what they called a Red tail red.

I would be interested to see a photo of this one

I will get some pictures as soon as I can. I will try to get some of the red tailed red. It hides most of the time and is very hard to find. The rest of them are out a lot and easy to find. Ill take some pictures to make sure they are the correct species also.
