Hi Chris,

the fish in the pond are great, I especially like that Cichlas.

But that Mosaic-Look-a-like bottom is a cruel to my eyes.
Why don´t u put sand or gravel in it?

Right now with the barebottom I have enough flow to keep particles moving and getting caught in the pumps and going up into the filters. If I put down sand or gravel then I will have to try and siphon the pond bottom and thats not fun at all. Thats why I keep it barebottom...

Very very nice mate.

I think im going to go ahead and steal this idea from you, and make myself one just like it.:D

 HONESTLY~

having it barebottom with that plastic white thing...
MAKES IT ALOT EASIER to see the FISHES.
:headbang2
dark substrate and huge size of fishes in ponds always make it harder to notice their colors and patterns.
NOT TO MENTION~ having to look at them from a TOP view.

SO~ when can i come over to take a swim? :grinno:

Come on over.. The water is warm all year round :D

I havent even seen one sign of aggression other than breeding aggression and protecting nests. Ive see the male and female Jag liplocking and doing their thing. Ive also seen them scare of other fish because they are guarding a certain spot under the rocks (could be eggs there)

Same with the two smaller red devils. They guard their place as well. But besides the occasional chasing, I dont see any aggression with the fish. There is more than enough room in the pond to escape aggressive fish.. :)
