Loc-Line alternatives

Wow!! I had no idea how expensive this product was.
I just priced out assembling my own double outlet flare nozzle x2 at $59.00. That seems crazy. The nozzles and joints are so expensive.
Any alternatives out there?

There is no limit to alternatives. What exactly are you trying to do?
 
Loc-Line is the coolest looking stuff I've seen. I just can't justify the cost.
How would someone bend PVC?
I am trying to build a dual jet nozzle for the return to my tank. Up through the overflows and back into the tank through these dual jets. One side with a smaller nozzle and the other a bigger one. One of these assemblies on each side of the tank.
 
Pipe in pipe is really frustrating to do and you have to be really good at it. Getting the measurements right the first time is absolutely critical, and there is almost no room for error.

Hose in hose will make your life easier. Of course your stand pipe can't be hose but the inside one can be. At the top, use a 'hose barb' to convert from hose to pipe. A hose barb has the ribbed fitting on one side for the hose and male or female pipe threads on the other side for the pvc pipe.

For directional nozzles, use two 90 degree fittings and a cap. The two 90 degree fittings will allow you to direct the flow in any direction. The cap is to serve as a nozzle if you so desire. Just drill the size hole that you see is appropriate. The smaller the hole, the more localized current it will produce.

Btw, bending pvc is a can of worms you probably don't want to open. You will burn a lot of pipe and the bends won't look all that pretty. I have done it professionally for patio furniture but to get to that quality, you will have to do a lot of it. It will be cheaper to use the Loc-line after you build an oven and jigs for bending. The cheapie way is to use a propane torch or heat gun for your heat source. You will need to fill the pipe with very dry sand to keep it from collapsing. If the sand is moist, it will not flow inside the pipe as you bend it and the bend will be lumpy or kinked. To retain the sand, you will need a cap for both ends.
 
Chompers, you are a wealth of knowledge. Thanks a bunch. Still don't know about the Loc-Line purchase though.
I was thinking about making a bulk order (seriously reduced costs) and polling this site for interested people. Huge order; cheaper for everyone.

This is essentially what I was trying to do. Thanks Dr. Joe. $20.00 savings so far!! Only difference is I wanted to do the 2 1/2 on one side and 1 1/4 on the other. This assembly for each side of the tank. Fully adjustable. Yahoo!!!!!!
