What kind of car and what year?
97 aurora, I think its the 4T80E transmission

Did you get the fuel line recall for the 97 Aurora taken care of? If not, you should look into it, wont help the tranny, but will keep the car from catching fire. Which is a good thing! (My mother had a 97 as well)

I love olds. My daily driver is a 71 Cutlass Holiday Coupe..

OLDS RULES!! yea, i did get the recall, but good lookin out man! Actually the fuel lines split before i could get the stainless rail installed....it scared the crap out of me. What engine is in your "gutless" (nickname a friend gave my car after he smoked me)

Well, I think you have over-reacted a bit to what happened. My posts got deleted as well, but I didnt feel the need to complain about and bash a great Aquarium Club on another fish board.

The remark was that the club would'nt tell its local stores how to do business, not "We like to kill fish". The shops we deal with as a club dont sell juiced fish. The only ones that do in this market are the larger chain stores, which wont even talk to local clubs.

The reason the posts were deleted were because of what *I* said about those big chain stores, not what you said about juiced fish. You remember what happens when you "Assume"? Sadly we live in a world of frivilous litigation, the removal of those posts was for that reason alone.

And the saddest part, due to this whole ordeal, the CCAC forum is going to be for paying memebers only as of Monday. :(

Jonathan...

Sorry for the rant. I tried to edit the posts with the club name on it and it wouldn't let me. So, if a mod sees this and wants to edit or erase this whole post than they can.

And I do think that I am an ass, cause my wife lets me know that everyday. So, nothing new, just upset that I am pretty much out of ever joining the club which I still did want to.

You should keep your group public. I have seen another site that decided to switch to a private only and it destroyed their membership and new members. You guys obviously have a good thing going and I wouldn't stop that and am sorry if I did.

4.0 DOHC V8 (the baby northstar)

Your right it's the 4T80E...... PLEASE listen to this ..... GET RID OF THE CAR. when you start having problems with the transaxle their is verrrry little you can do other than rebuild it.....$2000 to $2500...... engine oil pan gasket is over $1500 , the starter is under the intake and calls for 8 hours to change it.

I don't let friends buy northstar powered cars or chrysler anything.... well maybe the 300 because it has a mercedes transmission so it might be ok.... we'll see but they will still have crapy wiring.

Bessie's packing a 350 rocket. Amazingly with 84k, she still whoops on new mustangs and camaros, and gets 26.8 mpg with a 2GV carb. (Why it became my daily driver instead of the new jeep that gets 14mpg) :) She goes on the lift at the end of this month for all new suspension.
