that is one massive pacu! didnt know they lived that long, pretty crazy. wonder how much longer he would have gone had we not gotten that cold snap here.

im willing to bet another 10+ years. their have been several reports of decently kept pacu aging to 40+ years. i doubt this is the first cold snap he's been through being in that pond since 1981, but chances are its like a human, and things are harder to deal with and live through at an old age.
nice to see such a large pacu live an amazing life in an outdoor pond. Plenty of room, and apparently good enough food since he grew so large and lived so long.
