not sure why, either, but whatever. it's your choice. personally, if I didn't want to say where I'm at, I'd leave it blank because it seems like the reason for it being there is for people to at least know your general location so people can see who is near them. It's nice to know who's near you as this forum is so diverse. anywhoo...

I look at the location just to get a frame of reference when I read a post dealing with prices, water paramaters, fish/accessories availability, etc. If the user doesn't have a real location listed, oh well. As far as not listing your location so that you can remain completely anonymous, if you're on the internet, in any way, you're vulnerable.
