Locks for tanks?? Help....

get fish that bite. they will only do it once more. if i remember right someone on here had a kid that kept bothering his oscars (i think), he let the O bite the kid and the kid didnt touch the tank again.

I have (2) oscars in another growth tank.

The one they got to has (2) baby jags.
 
so no locks for tank lids...

does anyone have one custom made DIY?
 
The only locks I know of for tanks, are for tanks that have canopies. You know the tanks you see in waiting rooms and such.

Maybe a bungee cord/strap????
 
build a canopy for the tank. then you can screw a bracket on the front and one on the top(lid) for a pad lock. only thing i could think of. or build a new stand lifting the tank to six feet.....
 
I would just make my own if you really want a lock. buy a regular latch lock and silicone it to the lid and front. when you dont need it anymore at least youll be able to remove the silicone.

thats not a bad idea at all. I saw one with a flip up door that would be too heavy for them to lift. I think i can make this farely cheap.

any other ideas?

true, but i need something that is going to keep the lid, lights and heater in play.
