LOL!! How do you mess with your LFS?

I have a tendency to ambush an employee giving wrong info. As soon as I hear "To cycle your tank, just run the filter for 48 hours", I walk over and correct them. The employee usually leaves in a huff about halfway through, and the person usually walks out with no fish and a test kit.

For me, I walk in asking to buy a common guppy, then once at the cash-out, tell the guy that I forgot I had a coupon to buy one get one free. I then make the guy go back and get me another $1.25 fish!! He seems kinda mad.....I don't care, a coupon is a coupon!!

ONe time I went to a lfs to get some cory cats and ask the son of the owner it I could have some. Well tha little numbnuts had to ask his dad if they had any and they were right in his face the whole time (I think he was related to ewurm :j/k:)

I go in to the store and ask for every fish in the tank except one. And I am very specific about which one to. I look for a small deformity, which should these fish breed, I do not want the deformed one. Usually there will be about 50 fish in the tank when I do it.

Where I live, since there are so many general pet stores, they have a flyer that comes in the sunday paper from different local stores coming together to offer the same deal, most of the time it's specials on 55g tanks and buy on get on free on common fish. It's pretty cool but really not worth it to me when you've been around the hobby for so many years. Nothing you can't live without.
