You haven't made it big until you've earned a following of detractors.

I love MFK. I was drawn to this site because of the attitude, dedication, and seriousness that we all take to this hobby. To some it's more of a way of life than a hobby. I can respect that.

I lurked on numerous fish keeping forums for years before I decided to hang my hat here. I may not have an 8,000 gal indoor pond but I share the same passion and even when I do something small I do it monster.

TLDR: kids are just jealous. This place is the real deal. Haters gonna hate

Yeah I've never had what I'd call a monster tank, the biggest I've had was a 800litre 6ft tank, the maintaineance on large tanks is huge! I like smaller tanks with smaller predatory/monster fish, hence why I keep dwarf snakeheads.

I find this site is the on of the more active fishkeeping sites out there, so you get a fast reply to questions and such.

We have all been newbies at one point, it's whether or not you take good advice or just ignore it, I have made a fair few mistakes but always listen to advice now
