Gar lived through that BUT months later sadly he broke his back so I had to let him go. Such a nice happy gar with personality. Took me years to get another one!
 
How could happen that a Gar broke his back?.....never heard about it.....
 
Once, my gar jumped really hard and hit the hood, I dont know if he broke his back, but there was definetely a 45 degree angle bend in it. I'll look for some pics of it, but it was pretty crazy. It took a while, but he finally straightened out.
