50+ % water change each week. Probably the remnant coloration of the 3 pieces of driftwood that I took out. It was leeching so much tannin into the water that the water was dark brwn. This is what remains after 3 water changes.

I got him for $140. I thought it was a pretty good deal. His tankmates (other blk aros) also showed very dark coloration as well. Contemplating about picking up another two.

I have a feeling that he might turn really blue, but pure speculation.

One FX5 and another Fluval 405 that is not yet in commission. I have had this tank for a couple of months. I made sure all the parameters were in check prior to putting in the Aro. I used Prime and Stability - needless to say it cycled effortlessly.

you should think about wet dry filter. You can put to in to a heaters, and 2 will be enought for this tank. I have MegaFlow4, but now I know that better option is to built it be my self.

Its amazing how you have just two blck aro in the tank without any fighting! I thought it should always be odd numbers of aro to minimize aggression?

Are three blk aros in a tank going to be okay? Two might be really risky, but obviously doable as you have demonstrated.
