long eared sunfish

The raphael would be fine, the Senegal might escape their notice at the bottom but the hujetas are probably toast.

the ones i'm looking at on aquabid have them listed at only half an inch long right now. would the 6" hujetas be alright if the fish grew with the sunfish.

i think the hujetas have learned to distinguish between food and new fish. i haven't put a new fish in that was eaten unless it was meant to be food.

That is not a safe method of thinking. Fish do not think like people. If a predatory animal sees something small enough to eat it does not weigh options on why the new animal is there it just eats it. From what you said I assume you've given them feeders before? If so then they definitely know that little fish=food.

I totally agrree with thalon if you put half inch sunfish in your tank you are giving them an expensive dinner is all I can say
