I JUST FOUND THESE OSCARS TODAY. I WAS WONDERING HAS ANY ONE SEEN OR HAD SOME LIKE THESE. WANTED SOME INFO ON IF THEY MIGHT HAVE SOME INBREEDING DISFIGURING PROBLEMS OR SOMRTHING LIKE THAT.. THIS IS THE ONLY PIC FOR NOW

i love veiled oscars. ive never seen any for sale before but have asked all over locally if any come up. you just dont see them for sale. if you do consider buying these large bettas, make sure they dont get fin nipped by tank mates as they look awful if they get tattered fins
 
they look like crack heads
 
i see them at fish stores all the time, they usually sell for a bit more, they come in the same colors as regular oscars (albino, tiger, red, etc.), i'm pretty sure they grow to the same size too, but as danny boy said they don't look half as good if their fins are banged up

no idea if they are prone to any problems
 
they're pretty much the same as normal oscars, w/ a lot longer fins..they kinda look cool..one of the lfs's around here usually carries them for about $5 a piece..
 
I've only seen one place that sold them. They're about 300 miles away and they were always out.
 
hideous imo i see them at a lfs the same bunch has been there for months now
