LONG FIN OSCARS

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i dont really care for them either. i dont know who thought it would be a good idea... but they should be hit.

where i am almost every shop has em, but i prefer my oscars a little more natural looking.

I agree. The natural Oscars is definately most attractive.

Personally I can`understand why mankind has to make all these variants of fish that looks so beautiful as it does. I guess it is because we can... Another stupic excample of what humans do to prove for themselves that they are "smarter" than nature... And then of course - we got something called money...
I feel sad when I see fish that has been breeded to make the fins longer, different bodyshapes, crossbreeding to produce new "species" like the blood parrots, flowerhorns etc.

I agree with there being something wrong with crossbreeding different species to get hybrids, overbreeding for disabling body shapes and such, but variants with different colors and fins are ok to me although I prefer more naturally looking oscars. People have different skin color, height, etc., nothing wrong with fish having different traits. People have preferences for the opposite sex. Whatever floats your boat (as long as it's not sick!).

actually they look beautiful when fully grown, but yes as most of you said, they are a lil ugly when so small! Ive had many and prefer them over regular oscars
