Long fin oscars

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i go to his house around once maybe twice a fortnight so maybe i'll just become a bit imposing and do the tank for him lol dont think he'd really mind tho

nice oscars, i had to choose between o's or wolf recently. i chose the wolf mainly because so many ppl where i am have oscars and i wanted something different.

thanx, yeah oscars are extremly common anywhere because they eat, there cute and not as mean as othere ciclids

around my area ppl get oscars because they're 'aggressive', i try to tell them aggressive is the wrong word they are more greedy lol. an yeah i told him the cons will be a constant hassle nipping at the fins but he thinks they'll be fine an i guess its his tank.

do the wild oscars exhibit any different behavioural traits as i've been told that they tend to be more passive than tank bred o's

I have one wild type and another captive bred. They get along just fine, they cruise around together and they fight over pellets. They had a nipping episode for a while but then the small one got tough again. They are both still small. They are really intimidated by my pleco so i think they have subsided the fighting to join forces against him.
