Wow thats an awsome poly, i really like the look of it.That's actually the faranah lap I just recently got
Not yet no. I literally just bought it today and was really just doing some test shots and getting used to it. The only thing I really messed with was the lighting, but I'll end up messing with that stuff tomorrow or wednesday once I really get a chance to go in-depth with it.Are you messing around with the shutter speed and aperture? Higher shutter speed should help with the bichirs in motion.
Reminds me of a blood Python morph called 007, I want both the fish and snake lolThat's actually the faranah lap I just recently got
And my new additions are a faranah lap, and teugelsi. Interesting part is I was talking with Toyin, and he said what he has in as faranah lap is what he believes used to be Sp. Dabola, before they started selling faranah fish. Faranah lap comes in at about 20" and the teugelsi comes in at about 28" (looks a lot bigger).
this is by far closer to an sp. Dabola than a faranah lap. It has mixed patterns (endli are more noticeable, but towards the front you can see horizontal lap patterns), the head to me is much more endli like than the faranah laps I've had before. The laps before have had narrower heads and much more apparent horizontal patterns. They also didn't have as wide as bodies. Had there not been any lap type patterns towards the front, and disconnected endli patterns towards the back, I would totally believe to be an endli. Unfortunately it looks like this is as clear as his patterns will. Interestingly enough he is the first fish I've had that started out dark and lightened as he settled in. I've never had a fish do that before. Needless to say, if I run into a bit more cash in the next month or so I'll probably try and pick another one up if Toyin still has them in-stock. I'll also try and get some comparison pics between my other laps. After you been observing this fish and staring at it for hours and hours. Since your a technical guy. Are u convinced its a faranah lap. Maybe a new lap variant. The faranah laps we know are nothing like that. Characteristics are just too Dabola to me. Either a faranah dabola or sp. Dabola or even an undiscovered specie varian -That would be way cool! Sorry to pick your brain. But what are your thoughts?
