Its def a mix, larger and smaller grains of sand if you grabbed a handful of it. That honestly was a killer guess lol


I'll try and find out from Trev and see if they are....Say if they bred, would the pups be LeoxHen or LeoxHen X Leo?

Great looking ray! Not a big fan of batman type rays, but this one is an exception.

On a side note, your sand is great looking too. Is it the same sand the hystrix in your avatar is on? I looked up Red Flint: http://www.redflint.com/aquarium_sand.htm. It looks like the aquarium and pool filter sands are similar if not the same. May try to find some around me.

Thanks Spotfin, Yep Thats the company. Same sand in the pics of my Hystrix. It was pretty inexpensive stuff too from what i remember

No, probably going to have to contact them. I've checked a few pool stores around me in the past few years but have never seen this brand of sand. Most of the pool sand here is white.
