long,skinny,white worms,swim like snakes

Bump, I had those in my Convict tank at one time...still don't know what they were....

i have some in my tank. my red tail shark eats them and she is fine. remove your p-bass and add some baby platies, they eat them like there is no tommorrow. and don't worry, they are harmless, even if they are a little gross.

I think Connor0729's suggestion is spot on. Without the telltales normally associated with parasitic worms, these appear to be simple non-dangerous nematode worms. Smaller fish and/or loaches should take care of them in short order.

so they cant transfer to the pond?
or would be ok if they did?

not with 3 10 inch p bass :D

I never mentioned anything about transfer possibilities. Chances are if they were brought into your tank by the PB, they'll also transfer to the pond when the PB is moved.
To rid the fish of any hitch-hikers, treat the tank with Fluke-Tabs that are available at lfs and on-line fish supply sites.
