My newest pleco damage its tail, Im wondering if it will grow back? Do you guys know?
As you can see on the pic, the lower level of the tail is longer than the top level. I apologize for the terrible pic but it shows what im talking about.

THanks

IME the fin will grow back even when broken right down to base of the caudal peduncle. It may not grow back just as it was, but it should grow.

Super long ones (>4") often come back much shorter. The shorter the lyre tail the more likely it will come back the same. I've always had some amount of lyre come back.

Thanks for all the input. I hope it will grow back. Both of my little ones damage one part of their long tail. I originally thought that the length of the lyre tail classify them as 7 pointers, 5 or 3. I didn't realized its the colors. Thanks again, I can't wait for these guys to grow. It took me 2 years to finally find them.

i dont know, does it look like its growing back?
