Hey all, I been thinking that I should post up an update as to what I am doing with my fishie world so today seemed as good a day as any.

Especially considering the wonderful hookup a good friend of mine who is reducing his tanks gave me tonight. He was running quite the nice little fish room in his basement but decided to reduce it a bit so that moving would be easier to do.

I went over tonight to visit with him and basically came to an agreement to take the rest of his fish off his hands so that he can proceed with emptying and selling off his tanks. I told him when the time comes that he sets back up his 180 that he can come shopping at my fish store from the tanks that I have here in the restaurant or any other tanks that I have set up at that time.

I did not have my camera at home to take pics of the fish that went into the 65g in my living room, so I will have to post those up at a later time.

I did though take some pics of what I just put in my 8ft 300g here at the restaurant. My sons are gonna go nutso when they see these here tomorrow after school.

First the wood. I took a couple shots of each piece from a different angle and put the pop can in for size persepective

#4 I did not take a pic of because I put it the tank at my house.

The tank these fish went into has 3 african walking catfish so they will fit in just nice. I really have no idea as to the type of bichir they are with the exception of 3 of them. At any rate here are the pics of them placed into one of my fish tubs for size reference. The tub is 14 inch wide and 22 inch long.

Will post up the tank rearranges I do this weekend, as I go to pick the rest of the fish up Friday night after work.

Another cool thing that happened today is another friend walked in and gave me 2 nice pieces of drift, a nice looking plastic tree trunk and a new magnetic mag float tank scrubber.

What is really cool about is that I am going to be able to rehome some fish with some of the people I know with no cost to them.

I love this hobby and how it enables us to be a blessing to others.

Dude, you are into bichirs? AWESOME!!!

Which bichir you are not sure about the species?

The last 2 in tank shots and the first big one that is basically all tan in color.

The fish I have at home are 5 male lelupi, 10 female, 3 L strain pleco, and 6 very big cuckoo cats.

This Friday after work I go to get the rest. Big female flowerhorn, 3 tilapia(which I sold to him before), 2 red devil(sold to him before), a red tail giant gourami, and a 180 full of various african.

When I get home tonight I will take some shots of the fish in my living room tank.

Ok so took some pics of the fish in my home tank and redid the tank will post those pics up tonight after I go get the rest of the fish.

I have an add in the local fish community sale place for fish rehoming so will place some of the fish in new tanks.

I will be populating my 150 with some of the fish, moving my lungfish home and using his 140g as a place for some of the new fish and putting others dividing them up among my exisiting tanks .

Those are some nice polys, the driftwood doesn't look to bad either. Wanna share?! :naughty:.. Jks ;), Nice pick up!

thanks

Just wait till you see what I post up later tonight or early tomorrow morning.

I am going to be the overstocked tank king when I get done putting the fish in the tanks.

Getting ready to do massive waterchanges over the next 2 weeks or so until I can get the extra tanks up and running to spread them out. I would so share some of the fish with any mfk member that was nearby.

Though the wood NOPE! :p

Well just got back with the unloading of the fish from his 600g. Returning home are 3 zebra tilapia and 2 red devils that I sold him. Also a red tail giant gourami(one of my gotta get fish list fishes), a really beefy female flowerhorn (hoping she is not a ******) and one of the onlly fish you will ever hear me say that I hate to own.

I am going to leave it up to you guys to guess what that fish is.

I have to charge up my batteries on my camera to dump the pics on photobucket, which I will do tomorrow.

Right now I pulled all of the decor out of the 300g and made a serious poop storm in the tank as the fake roman decor drained all its goodness into the water. So doing 2 50% waterchanges in the tank over the next 12 hrs.

I put the 2 red devils into my 240 and immediately marmalade my one red devil in the tank recognized these two and decided it was time to entice chicken skin the male. What is really funny is my veja who has been trying her best to entice anything that moves in the tank is trying to contest marmalde for chicken skins attention.

I will be here all night doing wc on the tanks and am going to be settting up the empty 90g that I have in my back office area so that i can get it set for fish asap. I also will be setting up another 65g and 60g at home to thin out the population. I think I will actually take my wal from the 140 tall here and put him the 65 at home as he is a very tough fish and can easily make the move to a new tank.

So lets see if anyone can guess the one fish I hate that I know own.

Side note. I decided that I would leave the 180g with africans till tomorrow so that I could make sure these big boys were in tank asap.
