I haven't been on this site in a while much at all and it's been even longer since I've had pbass and been on here. Looks like I'm getting a pbass again. Picking up a kelberi this weekend (I think). I got an 8' 240 acrylic set up that just has a T. buttikoferi (or, I guess Heterotilapia now). I got some larger pieces of lace rock holding down some driftwood that I collected that won't sink. Getting better lighting soon, too. Hopefully it'll look better when they quit floating and I can rearrange things better. Not planning on keeping it in there as I don't want it to kill the pbass, so it'll probably end up in a 90 gallon, but I may test it out. Not sure what I'm going to end up keeping in the 240 with the pbass, just pretty much helping rehome it at least temporarily. The Nile puffer will probably end up in the 240 eventually, unless I get a different tank for it. Kind of maxed out now. Anyway, hopefully I'll be on here more and get some pictures this weekend. Here's a picture for now.

I need to test everything (which is why I have the tilapia in there), but the filters are from old tanks and so is a good bit of the water. Should be good to go. You're probably noticing the haziness, which can be attributed to the tank. I didn't get the acrylic cleaned up as well as I should have before I set it up.

Welcome back brother.
thanks, yo. Don't know if I'll be getting back into pbass like I was because I just don't have the room anymore and been spending too much money on other things, but hopefully one day I can have some pbass I never had before.

Good to see ya back! Been a while.
I downsized a bit after I had issues with the 300. Started with some single-species tanks and converted a 40 and 120 to salt for the first time ever. Sold off all my bichirs, but traded the rest for this tank. Was going to sell it, but ended up keeping it.

I might just have to get an intermedia since they're been available lately.

that would explain the haziness, digging the wood.

Welcome back. It's always good to see some of the older names make it back to the site....good looking tank too.

Hope I can get it clearer. Thanks. I hope I can get this stuff to sink pretty soon, but I do like how some of it makes hiding spots. Hopefully the pbass and buttikoferi get on well.

Thanks. Hoping this combination works out and whatever else I'm going to put in there. Picking up the kel tomorrow afternoon, so I'll get some pics when it's in its new home.

Need to make a stand for the 90 so I can put the puffer in it and move the tarantula and snake under the 240 to make some more room. Been collecting a lot of 1-2" crayfish in the office pond, so should have a good food source for everyone.

Still only eats live and needs some fattening up. After I get it looking nicer, I'm going to try to ween off of live. Going to be a struggle at this size. So far, the two are getting along fine, but we'll see.

Gut load the feeders with crushed pellets then feed it to your kel. You can also try silver sides.
