Long Time, Y'all.

Will do. I just got 20 yesterday and threw them in since it was looking pretty skinny and it ate all of them. I will set something up so I can gut load and will also try some silver sides.

Good news! After being lazy and getting another 30 feeders that were eaten in a matter of hours instead of gut-loading, I tried feeding a piece of shrimp to day and boom, went right down, so I fed a couple more shrimp and it ate both of those right away. Guess I don't have to worry about weening off of live. I was told it would only eat feeders, but they must not have tried anything but pellets. When I get larger crayfish trying to get small ones for my little fahaka, I feed them to the pbass and he's been eating those, too.

Awesome!
I also resently picked up some fish from a guy who said they ate nothing but feeders. The next morning I threw in some krill and they started hitting it like they've never seen a feeder in their life.

Goes at the shrimp as quickly as feeders. Glad I don't have to worry about that anymore. Going to try stuffing the shrimp with pellets.

Just introduced my Paraneetroplus gibbiceps to the tank that I've had basically by itself since I got it. Probably my favorite non-Cichla/Crenicichla cichlid. We'll see how it goes. It didn't like the oscar I put in it's tank (semi-planted 75 w/ P. denisonii). My friend said the one they had was the most fish-aggressive cichlid they've had and they're super quick, maybe even more so that p-bass. As soon as I put it in, it told the H. buttikoferi who was boss and they both kind of started going at the kelberi. Hope it stops or it's going to have to find a new home. It was uprooting the plants in the 75, so it had to go, anyway. May be going back into its own tank again.

Looks like the gibbiceps is going to have to go. Can't believe a p-bass over twice its size is cowering to an algae-grazing cichlid with no mouth.

Things seem to have settled down, so I'm going to keep watching everything. I hope all goes well. I'm growing out an oscar to put in there eventually. I finally found another red tiger with almost no red. Might put a pair of adult wide bar silver dollars in there, too. My mom's 210 is getting overcrowded with all the growing fish in there.
