NO! THIS LOOKS GREAT, as though they're emerging from an abyss and disappearing again. The Amazon is as murky as the Mississippi. I've been wrapping foil around my lights because it's too #$%& bright.

The GT, Festae, Escondido, Xilo, Midas, RD, Midevil and Cuban look good with the dark sand. A few others are some where in the middle of both. Again, thank you.
I like dark natural colored gravel with black background , I think they show the colors the best although I have a grow out tank with white sand , it looks good with wood and rocks but fish hold their colors to light for my taste.
