Longest time out of the hobby?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm barely in as we speak. I've went 5yrs due to living arrangements.

Life has just become so busy it's hard to keep up. It's sad when your struggling to get time to change water.

Been there before!

I feel you, I only had my 240 set up for like three months, football comes around practice everyday, then go to work right after didn’t even enjoy it. Maybe hopefully get back in but scaled down in size

i did not have a tank till i was around 10-9 years old (betta) then i got bigger and bigger tank and now am hopefully getting a 150 tank today :)
can't imagine getting out of hobby. can only imagine getting bigger better tanks :D

I got my first fish when I was in my early teens. Then when I was 18 my parents split and we had to move. Moving ment no more pond so I had to part with my goldfish. Then it was 9yrs before I got a chance to have a pond of my own. And having a pond led into getting a small tank and it’s just been growing from there.

I had a lapse of over 15 fifteen years, when I quit when our three children were young. Started up again in 2003 and have been going strong ever since.

I kept multiple tanks in my teens and into early twenties and then was out of the hobby for about 20 years. After my son grew up and moved out I got back into the hobby. Simple 65 gallon was the tank that got me started back in which of course led to multiple upgrades.

Glad to be back in the hobby.

I was out of the hobby for ~25yrs. 1988-2013. Wow how things changed in the hobby in that time. I got out of it when I graduated high school and got back into it so I didn't loose my mind as a husband and father of 4 kids. It didn't work. LMAO!! Maybe helps a little..
