Longnose gar growth?

I wouldn't waste the extra money on the 220 unless money isn't a concern. Gars are more concerned with footprint (length & width) I have my 14" FLG in a 125 Wide (6x2x1.5) and he will be in the for life most likely.
 
But don't forget LNG get longer than FLG so eventually you might need something 36"+. I'm thinking final housing would be like a 500 gallon.
