I believe you are right about the copy cats especially since the videos are on youtube.

If one of those large fish jump out of the tank, while people are below, someone might be killed or seriously injured.

Can you imagine a 30 plus lb. fish at full speed hitting someone in the head or chest?

Now it's time to switch the the tank inhabitants to either pirahna,electric eels or stingrays.

Unfortunately,you are probably correct on both points....Those fish would be an effective enough deterrent for most normal people.
 
I think this has been posted awhile ago And I think the people involved were persued and possibly charged.
 
In the second link the kid almost hit the fake rocks. I thought he was gonna I was so ready to laugh even harder....
